PRLog -- This course is based on a publication of the U.S. Department of Education entitled Effective Literacy and English Language Instruction for English Learners in the Elementary Grades. This report is relevant to English instruction within mainstream classrooms, and is relevant to administrators, educators, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, counselors, and instructional coaches. The goal of this practice guide is to formulate specific and coherent evidence-based recommendations for use by educators addressing a multifaceted challenge that lacks developed or evaluated packaged approaches.
