Follow on Google News | WhereYouShop Launches with Street-Level Deals, PromotionsWhereYouShop, a Groupon competitor, is taking its deals, giveaways and messages to the street.
By: Amberly Dressler “Our whole concept is based on providing deals to people where they already shop,” said Zachary Bambacht, WYS Promotional Manager. “Subscribers use our patented software to customize their shopping areas, down to the street level. We’ve taken this concept and hit the streets with it.” This month, WhereYouShop manned booths at Gurnee Mills Mall, the Gold Coast Art Fair, the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and the Chinatown 5k. “The public’s response has been overwhelming,” The company’s goals for these events and future events are two-fold: “To meet as many of our subscribers and potential subscribers and let them know why we’re a better alternative to all other deal websites,” Bambacht said. “We didn’t set out to be middle of the pack. We set out to be better than all of our competitors and that includes participating in events throughout Chicagoland, raffling gift cards, WYS Bucks and Lollapalooza tickets, and handing out event-relevant swag.” Bambacht expects WhereYouShop to be 25,000-plus subscribers strong by summer’s end. The company’s Regional Sales Manager, Bill Morreale, uses these numbers and other selling points to partner with local companies. “With the promotional team efforts, we are able to further establish relationships with our local businesses to provide them with more targeted customers and customers more likely to become repeat customers,” said Morreale. “What’s great for local businesses is that we do their marketing for them, allowing them to focus on running their business, successfully. “We’re as good for our partnering businesses as we are for our subscribers. Look for us at all of your favorite Chicagoland events.” For more info, visit www.whereyoushop.com. # # # Sending superior deals on products and services to subscribers only in their customized, street-level shopping areas.
