Banners as well as other static & mobile display materials will project the magnificent beast. 120 crafts groups from 19 states from across India will be participating in the NATURE BAZAAR, bringing with them a rich medley of handicrafts and handlooms – Weaves, Block Prints, Embroideries, Furniture, Garments, Footwear, HomeAccessories, Gift Items, Folk Art and Toys. The Bazaar will also have various ranges of decorative Juthis from Rajasthan to Tribal Jewellery from Orissa, SilkSarees from Banaras and Bhagalpur to Stoles and Shawls from Kutch and Uttarakhand, Cane Furniture from Assam and Sujni and Kantha Embroideries from Bengal and Bihar, Madhubani and Phad Paintings among others. Organic food stuffs and Herbal products like soaps and oils will also be a part of the NATURE BAZAAR. This year, the key attraction to the festival will be the cultural programs and craftsworkshops as well as add-ons like exciting organic food and delicacies from different states, puppet show for kids, and lots more The Dastkar family includes nearly 200 craft groups from 19 states of India. – bringing new products and designs in both textile and 3-dimensional craft techniques. Age-old skills given a new contemporary twist. The festival will also have sheer Maheshwaris & Chanderis as well as subtle Tussars of Bhagalpur and Maharashtra. Also available will be block-printed, embroidered and woven textiles from Assam, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. Apart from that the added attraction are Mat weavers from West Bengal, Bodo weaving, black stone pottery from Assam and Manipur. There will also be Natural oils, Organic and Herbal products from Uttranchal. Interspersed through the event will be interactive workshops where children and adults can learn different crafts techniques ranging from Doll and Puppet making, Bead Jewellery, Madhubani Painting and Clay Modelling are among various interesting activities. Along with embossed and embroidered leather, contemporary metal ware, cane, coir, bamboo & carved wood furniture the Dastkar festival will also showcase home accessories, toys for children, and gift items for all ages. Accessories and embellished garments with tribal and mirror work embroideries from Karnataka, Kutch and Rajasthan as always will be a colourful attraction for fashion-conscious Bangalore. Showcasing this aura of the bazaar, will be a special display of the best products of the participating artisans to provide a visual treat to its visitors in the bazaar.
