Island Boy set for release under Platinum City Entertainment this Fall.

Aug. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Jean “J-Boy” Thervens has been catching the attention of many with a style he calls “Swagga Musik”,  incorporating a  Caribbean flare with an R&B / Hip Hop sound.  South Florida is a perfect launch pad for this Haitian-American superstar on the rise.  Thervens’ previous release, Haiti My Baby, was recorded in his native Creole language.  Island Boy is his first English album to hit the store shelves.  The album has a little something for everyone to be heard, with the diverse creative styling throughout.  The album was previously made available earlier this year by online retailer, CD Baby.  Atlantis Management Group will now have in-store physical reach nationwide and digitally worldwide after penning a distribution deal with Platinum City Entertainment.  Platinum City is also the label who released the Watchmen and several new talents during the last year.  
The Island Boy LP will be available in stores everywhere on October 11, 2011.  The album has a wide range of appeal for just about every ear.  Hits like title track, “Island Boy” speak to his rich Haitian heritage while tracks like “Independent Women” show appreciation for the beauty of a woman who can hold her own.  The album definitely has its share of more urban influenced tracks and concepts sung with his soulful vocals.  Jean Thervens is not only a talented singer, but has also written and produced for other up and coming artists as well. Presently, J-Boy is working on new music projects as his creativity sees no end.  The future for this star is definitely a bright one.
