Visitors typically take in Graceland, collector's conventions, and fan club meetings, along with satisfying their desire to see the King live. Not only are there opportunities to see Elvis on video backed up by his original musicians playing live, but the Elvis Tribute Artist World Championships provide the chance to see the best Elvii in the world, live on stage. Far from being an calling for wingnuts and delusional love children of Elvis, most Elvis impersonators have switched to using the term Elvis Tribute Artist to designate professional peformer status. And, Many Elvis Tribute Artists have taken to doing The King full time. So much so, that their may be a n Elvis overpopulation threat. There are now at least 85,000 Elvis Impersonators around the world, compared to only 170 in 1977 when Elvis died.
