Eid Dinner in the Desert

Aug. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- One of the most recognized celebration in the Muslim religion is Eid Al Fitr.  It concludes the month of Ramadan, a period with daytime fasting, worship and spiritual contemplation.

The usual greeting is Eid Mubarak!  It literally means, "Blessed Festival!"  and the appropriate answer is, "Allah yubarak feek!" (May Allah bless you also!)

In Dubai, you can celebrate Eid with One World Travels' Eid Dinner in the Desert slated on 31 August 2011 and 01 September 2011 for only AED 100 per person.

There are two (2) meeting points where you can join the tour.  Al Mulla Plaza along Ittihad Road at 5:30pm and Zabeel Park Gate 3 at 6pm.

A lot of activities are  included in the tour.  Once in the desert safari camp, you can try the exciting Camel ride or test your balance in sand boarding.  Some welcome treats can be found at the Welcome Booth like Arabic coffee, tea and dates.

Inside the camp will be low tables with big pillows as chairs laid on comfortable carpet.

Single serving of snacks are usually given per visitor.  Should you want to get more, just keep coming back.

Before the BBQ Dinner buffet, you can mark your visit with a henna painting or sit down with your friends and enjoy a sheesha or hubbly bubbly as some fondly call it.

Three (3) performances usually concludes the safari night namely  fire dance, tanoura dance and belly dance.

Dune buggies and quad bikes are available at the camp for AED 100 per 15 minute ride.  Also watch out for the man with the falcon going around.  You can hold the falcon and take a picture for a very minimal fee.
