Sept. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Louisville, Kentucky Author Lori A. Moore's children's book, Grady the Gray Cat, wins Honorable Mention in the children's-preschool category of the 2011 Readers Favorite Book Contest.

This is Moore's first children's book.  Her two prior books, both in the Christian Living genre, have won awards as well.

Moore wrote this book after adopting Grady from the Kentucky Humane Society.  It is a flip book for children that features two stories in one book.  One side is titled, "Grady the Gray Cat Gets Adopted," and talks about Grady's adoption and coming home to meet his new family and sisters.  The flip-side is titled, "Grady the Gray Cat Gets A Toy Firetruck," and is about how Grady's uncle Andy gives him a toy firetruck for being a good boy.

All of Moore's books are published through Tate Publishing, a Christian publisher in Oklahoma.

Lori A. Moore lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband and two cats.  When she's not writing, she is an adjunct professor.
