AVISO Energy Lends Support to Rumors About Work in Next Generation Hydrogen Production

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- AVISO Energy, the California alternative energy company working in conjunction with Filipino inventor Ismael Aviso, has finally officially revealed that the first major technology that they will have ready for market will be related to the generation of hydrogen.

There had been rumors leading up to the announcement, but it has created a stir nonetheless.  Mr. Aviso is well known for his alternative energy work, but mostly on electrical circuits like those found in his homemade electric car and his motionless electric generator.  This is the first time that he has been involved with hydrogen production, but his advanced electrical knowledge seems to be greatly benefiting his new work.

It is actually modified versions of some components from his earlier inventions that led to the breakthroughs in AVISO Energy's hydrogen production technology.  The company says their hydrogen generator utilizes an enhanced form of electrolysis, the process which uses electricity to split water molecules into Hydrogen and Oxygen.  Due to the fundamental inefficiency of current technology, electrolysis accounts for only about 4% of the hydrogen currently produced in the US, and dramatic improvements would be necessary to make hydrogen electrolysis using grid power economically viable.

AVISO Energy claims that these improvements are within reach.  “We are at a turning point with respect to hydrogen production,” says AVISO Energy spokesman Alec Sherman, “The new AVISO Energy hydrogen production technology will force people to redefine what is possible.”

Concrete figures have not yet been released, but the company claims that preliminary test results have already confirmed that their circuits push hydrogen production past classical limits.  “We are fully aware of the limitations of current electrolysis,” says Sherman, “but AVISO Energy is guided by our conviction that alternative energy solutions will not be adopted until they make economic as well as environmental sense.  We are working with electrolysis because we firmly believe that we can make it both cost effective and energy efficient.”

Scientists are waiting for hard data before weighing in on the implications of the new technology.  The scientific and business communities are both listening closely to AVISO Energy spokesmen for further information or news of a potential launch date for the technology.
