Follow on Google News | Senior Living Communities adds QuickWitz to Wellness OfferingsSenior Living Communities, a Charlotte, N.C.-based owner/operator of active adult retirement communities located in the Southeast and Midwest, announced today a new partnership with Quickwitz.
By: Katie Huffstetler QuickWitz is composed of hands-on, fun and interactive activities delivered by a certified QuickWitz coach. The multi-level activities are specifically designed to target the skills most commonly impacted by aging such as long- and short-term memory, processing speed, attention/concentration, logic and reasoning, and visualization. In contrast to traditional brain fitness software which is largely delivered via computer software, QuickWitz uses certified coaches to create an interactive environment where participants test and train their brains along with their peers. QuickWitz owner and creator Becky McLaughlin says the partnership with Senior Living Communities is indicative of a broader national conversation about how to prevent and manage cognitive decline. “With experts suggesting that maintaining lifelong intellectual engagement may help someone delay Alzheimer’s symptoms, older adults are making brain health a priority,” McLaughlin said. “We’ Senior Living Communities’ “Our communities offer robust wellness programs with a goal of improving both physical and mental health," Stranburg said.
