At The Top Of The Pyramid Rallies Hometown Spirit

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, Calif.. Slamgate Productions, LLC announces that on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, the independent feature film, AT THE TOP OF THE PYRAMID will return to Centreville, VA, where the film was made, for its world premiere! The premiere will be immediately followed by an after party featuring a LIVE MUSIC performance of the SOUNDTRACK. And on the next day, Thursday, September 29, 2011, the Centreville community will host a “Pep Rally Screening” with over 1,000 High School Students, Cheerleaders and local residents.

AT THE TOP OF THE PYRAMID is an upbeat, action packed cheerleader's tale, filled with music and sports; dance and romance; friendship and family; set within the psychological drama of teenage angst and pathos. Described by some as BRING IT ON meets BLACK SWAN, it is a character driven dramedy that unfolds into a classic teenage ensemble movie.

In addition to featuring acting legends Dean Cain and Steve Guttenberg, the movie introduces a slate of hot young new talents. Making their feature film debuts are the movie’s stars Elle McLemore as Jamie Parker (currently touring the country in “Bring It On: The Musical”); Isaac J. Sullivan as Marcuss Brown (international model for Armani, Givenchy and Sean John Clothing. Currently the face of ZIPPED PREMIER cologne); and Michael W. Peters as CW (Dancer and recent Boston University Graduate).

With a story Conceived by Executive Producer Mark A. Peterson, Written & Produced by the two-time Emmy nominated, Peabody Award winner Richard Willis, Jr., Director Lawrence Jordan continues to be very excited and thankful that he was brought into the project. The movie’s producer Karen T. Bolt refers to the finished product as “quite an adventure! A sizzling mix of music, teens, and the last days of a long hot summer!”

Produced by Mozell Entertainment Group, the Soundtrack features hip-hop artist REYN, who has been celebrated in the media as having “the right R&B, folk-pop, and old-school rap influences”. REYN’s music provides a lyrical narrative brought to light and life in dance by choreographer Lancelot Theobald, highlighting many of the hot emotions dramatized on screen by our teenage heroes. The soundtrack also includes a variety of pop hits and stirring power ballads from artist across the USA. Co-produced by Look Alike Productions, the music team brings over 30 years of collective record industry experience.
With special support from The Virginia Film Office, the community of Centreville, in Fairfax County, VA, is “thrilled to bask in the Hollywood spotlight for a night as host to this important world premiere event.”
