Napleton Auto Group Celebrates Their 80th Anniversary

Oct. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Eighty years ago, Edward Napleton opened Napleton Motors, a small Buick dealership in Blue Island, equipped only with a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a fervent belief in the American Dream. That business prospered and Ed was joined in 1953 by his son Francis Napleton, who diligently worked side-by-side with his father.

Eighty years later, one small dealership has grown into the Napleton Auto Group – 57 new car franchises in 23 locations throughout the Midwest and Florida. These dealerships are owned and managed by the next generation of Napletons-- Five grandsons of the original founder, brothers Ed, Steve, Jerry, Paul and Bill Napleton. Though the dealerships are not commonly owned, all of the Napleton dealerships are joined together by a deep commitment to continuing their family tradition of providing premium automotive service to all of their valued clientele through common courtesy.

“Common courtesy is the simple philosophy of treating the customer the way they’d want to be treated. This is something that my grandfather, Ed, and my father Fran had instilled into my brothers and I as we grew up working in our family's business. My Grandpa Ed, knew that if you treat people right, offer them more for their money, and give them great service, they’d come back. And you know what? 80 years later, he was right,” says Bill Napleton of his family’s success in the car business.

Bill's brother and business partner, Paul, stated that, “We cannot thank our customers enough. We are so grateful. It is because of each and every one of our customers that we are able to celebrate our 80th Anniversary in business as a family. We wouldn’t be here today, 80 years later, without them, simple as that. It wouldn’t be a celebration without our customers!”
