It's Official! The Color for Fall This Year is Yellow!

Oct. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Everyone from Mui Mui to Dolce Gabbana is pulling out their hottest garments to make this "Golden One" fierce. Whether its on the city streets or the runway Tres Jeune! Yes! Yellow is en vogue again (sounds like a line from "The Best of Simple" yet i digress) so don't despair whether dark or fair complexioned golden tones can bring out the best in a style conscious Diva. For one thing when everything around you starts to get dull and lifeless you can shine like the sun (maybe not as big as the one Trina sings about) butt (pardon the pun) you'll stand out if you get my drift. Just follow these simple rules about wearing yellow and no matter how cold and windy it gets you will stay HOT!
First of all... know when to wear yellow. Wear yellow when you intend to be noticed, in yellow you are saying to the world "look at me Hey! I said LOOK!" Hopefully the world will respond with "Ooh La! La! Tres magnifique"
If not?... then you have made one of the following fashion faux pas' (Mistakes) for example: don't alternate yellow and black unless your intention is to look like a flying insect that makes honey, cause frankly even the bees stay in when it gets cold, take a lesson from them and DON'T. So, when wearing yellow don't try to add another color that will compete with it drastically like a bright orange unless you are in the cast of Priscilla Queen of The Desert it won't work. Great show though. Anyhoo, wear complimentary colors according to the level of brightness of your foundation garment yellow. If you are wearing a pastel yellow than medium grays, browns even some shades of blue will make you look like a star. Navy compliments the palest yellows and ads class whether its the pairing of a Navy Peacoat with a silk blouse or turtleneck. When it comes to business or formal occasions yellow should be avoided unless it is a shirt or blouse. If it is a bright day go with a bright yellow if it is overcast or wintry go with the paler shades. What about nail polish you ask? should I wear it to match? The answer my dear is "What are you crazy! Unless you're gong to a Halloween party as Pikachu wear yellow nail polish ONLY if you are wearing nothing else, or nothing else that is yellow, nuff said. remember yellow is the color of inspiration be inspired (wonder where I got that one from) when casual it works well with white jeans, skirts and of course diamonds (my personal favorite) but don't stick to crayon box yellows try some saffron and mustard hues, try on different shades and find what hue works best for you.If you are tan with dark hair and eyes, try a mustard and darker hues. Try wearing medium yellow under a dark  jacket especially if yellow doesn't contrast well against your facial tones. If all else fails and yellow just isn't for you buy a canary diamond...with yellow in fashion, there's always a reason to smile.
