Dec. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- When speaking of Domestic Abuse, the image which comes to mind first in most people is one of a woman being assaulted and abused by her dominate, male lover.  In fact, most people have heard or read about the 1.5 million female victims of Domestic Violence per year by men; however, few have heard the continuation of that survey, which stated that 835,000 males per year are abused, assaulted and harmed (Sometimes even killed) by their female lovers.  To put that number in a better perspective, according to the survey from which this information originates, 40 % of men in America are VICTIMS of Domestic Abuse by the women they are with (Tjaden & Thoennes, 2000).

Sadly, in the early morning hours of July 18, 2010, Jeffrey Dryden, an honor student, turned factory worker, returned home after hanging out with his twin brother earlier that night.  In the moments that followed, Jeff was stabbed to death by his abusing, sex with benefits lover after a dispute over her cell phone.  Though arrested that night as a possible suspect of his death, the media and on-line social networks took his killer for her word when she stated "he had been drinking and came at me with a knife... the knife slipped, and he was cut."  It wasn't until the days went on that the truth as to what happened that night came out.  The truth of surrounding the abuse that Jeffrey faced on a daily basis.  The truth about his alleged lovers previous domestic assaults with a knife agaisnt him and the fact that on that night in question, tests proved that Jeffrey had no Alcohol in his system before being stabbed to death in cold blood.

Troy Veenstra, (Jeff’s cousin) and author of other previous books such as “Titanic: Echo of the Dying Confession,” and “The Heat of Passion Doctrine,” followed Jeff’s murder trial against his alleged murderer as well as interviewed the family of the victim.  After almost a year to the day of constant pain and tears, his killer Chiquita R Fizer, pleaded No-contest (Guilty in the eyes of the law) to the 2nd degree murder charges against her.   She is now serving, 14 to 45 years in jail for his murder.

“The Murder of Jeffrey Dryden: The Grim Truth Surround Male Domestic Abuse,” subsequently covers the life and abuse of Jeffrey from the time he met Fizer to the time she was sentenced to prison for his murder.  This book also details the hidden lies, the secrets behind Male Domestic Abuse, exposing it to the public eye.  The Murder of Jeffrey Dryden will be available and ready for purchase in Hardcover, Soft Cover paperback and E-book formats on or around December 16 2011.
