Indie Author Ethan Russell Erway Breaks Into Young Adult Fantasy Genre with Exciting New Book Series

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- After a year of eagerly awaiting the arrival of Ethan Russell Erway's first young adult fantasy novel, fans were delighted to hear today that the sequel to 'Michael Belmont and the Tomb of Anubis' has an official release date.  'Michael Belmont and the Heir of Van Helsing' is due for arrival on September 1st, 2012.

'Michael Belmont and the Tomb of Anubis', the first novel in a seven book series about a young boy who travels the world in search of ancient artifacts, has been gaining a solid fan-base since the book's release this past November.  "My fans have been very supportive, and everyone has been interested in finding out what happens next," the author tells us.  "The characters in these books are very important to me, and I know that I owe it to my readers to give them great development from the characters they've been coming to love as well."

The Adventures of Michael Belmont entered the young adult fantasy genre with a bang upon the release of it's first installment.  Here's the synopsis:  Michael Belmont has always dreamed of leading a more adventurous life, but when it actually happens, he ends up getting more than he ever bargained for. Michael is sent to stay with his best friend Liam in Scotland while their parents conduct research at an ancient Egyptian necropolis. All is well until the boys get news that their parents have disappeared. Now Michael, his sister Abbey, and Liam suddenly find themselves in a race to obtain an ancient magical artifact that could be the only key to rescuing their parents- before it’s too late. Come on a journey with Michael and his companions as they unravel the mysteries of a medieval Scottish castle, get kidnapped by angry werewolves, and become entangled in a war that has been raging for thousands of years.

The adventures of Michael Belmont series will continue with the second installment, 'Michael Belmont and the Heir of Van Helsing', in which Michael and his companions will come to face a new threat, a dark and sinister character from the past who seeks to re-establish his presence and position of power.  Only by seeking out the true heir of legendary monster hunter Abraham Van Helsing will the children be able to confront and stop their terrible new enemy.  According to the author, this story will continue to focus on strong character development balanced with the fast paced action/adventure and mystery elements of the first book.

The first book in the Adventures of Michael Belmont series is available in all digital formats for platforms such as the Amazon kindle, the Barnes and Noble Nook, and the ipad, as well as a printed paperback from amazon.  "The digital revolution has expanded into the world of books," Ethan says, "and I've replaced many of my own books with digital versions.  I'm a big fan of digital books, but I'll never give up paper copies altogether.  It's still a great feeling to kick back with a paper book in your hands and let the story consume you, and I think most readers feel the same way."

Ethan Russell Erway has been a life long fan of the fantasy and science fiction genres. He has a Bachelor of Sacred Literature degree from Summit Theological Seminary, and is the Minister at Agua Fria Christian Church in Humboldt, AZ where he lives with his wife Kara and sons Gabriel and Caleb.  He is known for the witty storytelling elements of his sermons.
