MyRegistry.com Announces Winner of First-Ever Baby Registry Giveback

Dec. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- (New York, NY – December 6, 2011) – MyRegistry.com, the leading universal gift registry website, announces that Roanoke, TX resident Ashley Delgado is the winner of the first-ever Baby Registry Giveback, an initiative to help benefit families managing unforeseen difficulties that have impacted their ability to purchase baby necessities. This past September, MyRegistry.com invited families in need to share their stories of hardship. Four women were selected to create public baby registries and their communities were encouraged to lend their support by purchasing necessities. Through an overwhelming amount of kindness shown by friends, family and local community members, Mrs. Delgado received the most contributions and will now receive an additional $5,000 worth of gifts from MyRegistry.com.  

Thirteen weeks into her pregnancy, Mrs. Delgado found out that she was pregnant with triplets, but that one had no chance of survival. At sixteen weeks, she was diagnosed with Twin Reversed Arterial Perfusion (TRAP) sequence, a very rare occurrence in twin births (affecting about 1%) that would require surgery or risk losing a second baby. Despite all of these complications, Mrs. Delgado remains focused on delivering two healthy babies. However, she is in very weak condition, has been in and out of the hospital and is not prepared for the birth of twins. Her public registry, as well the generous donation from MyRegistry.com, provides welcome relief to the Delgado family.
