Dec. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Malay, Aklan, Philippines – Ring in the New Year 2012 with rhythm and dancing at Discovery Shores Boracay’s ‘Carnaval!’ where nothing is spared to promise each one an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration.  Expect an “all-out” colorful celebration to commemorate the best of times past and even better times to come with a Brazilian Carnaval set on Boracay’s premiere holiday destination!

On December 31st, the festivities begin at 7pm with the ‘La Festa!’ The New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. This is followed by Discovery Shores’ traditional New Year’s Eve Countdown Party and Fireworks Show at the stroke of midnight.

‘LA FESTA!’ New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner is a festival of sumptuous culinary masterpieces, superbly prepared by corporate chef David Pardo de Ayala and the award-winning Culinary Team of Discovery Shores. The extravaganza begins with the BRAZILIAN TABLE, which celebrates the flavors of the Amazon, Bahia & Minas-Gerais. The Brasa Brasil Rodizio station features savory specials: Hanger Steak, Chicken Breast, Churrasco Sausage, Short Plate, Pork Belly, Brazilian Cheese Rolls, Crispy Cassava, Garlic Patacones, and Chimichurri with Lime Mojo.

From the MEDITERRANEAN KITCHEN, specialties from Spain, Italy, Morocco, Greece and The French Riviera take center stage. The Potato Martini Bar offers classic, roasted garlic and sweet potato variations with your choice of toppings, and roasted root vegetables al balsamico. Meanwhile, the Platitos station offers an assortment of Spanish tapas and gourmet bocadillos, Italian antipasti and pizza, Mediterranean flatbreads, dips and Greek mezze.  Next up is the Raw Seafood Bar with fresh chilled oysters, crabs, prawns, Slipper and Palawan lobsters, whole fish sashimi and live sushi rolling, Italian Crudo and Ceviches Latinos, and specialty sauces to lace it all with.

The CARVING STATIONS and Western Culinary Specialties include U.S. Angus Prime Rib Roast and Wagyu Beef Back Ribs. It also features a stunning selection of salads from the cold kitchens, plus a live Foie Gras poppers station featuring an amazing burst of luxury with Foie Gras Terrine and Foie Gras Crème Brûlée. And not to be missed, everyone’s BORACAY FAVORITES: Ihaw-Ihaw Classics (pork belly, prawns, longganiza, chicken inasal, pusit, and angel wing clams), Bamboo Steamers and chilled Visayan Salads. There’s also a Tempura station and, last but not least, the traditional Fiesta Roasted Lechon!

To cap the feast is a spectacular array of Brazilian desserts, international pastries and a variety of treats to bid 2011 a sweet farewell! It’s all in, for only Php4,280++ per adult, and Php2,140++ for children 6 years old and below.

The Smooth Band sets the mood with live acoustic hits, and to heat up the night, the Powerhouse Band takes centerstage with pop, crossover jazz, and house music.  At the stroke of midnight, experience a spectacular CARNAVAL full of magic and splendor as we count down to a brand new year with Discovery Shores’ dazzling Fireworks Show lighting up the Boracay skies and ringing in the beginning of a bright new year!
