"Archangel" by Michael Vorhis Nearing Coveted Reader Count Worldwide

Word-of-mouth engine kicks in as this premium fiction title nears a critical milestone.

Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Powered partly by excellent holiday Kindle Fire sales and partly because large numbers of Autumn readers are now recommending it to friends, suspense/mystery thriller ARCHANGEL by Michael Vorhis is knocking on the door of a watershed count of riveted fans hanging on its every page.

Born of a promising screenplay in 2011, the novel has existed in published form for less than a year.  ARCHANGEL has been popular for months among Barnes & Noble's Nook owners and in Europe and Australia on Apple iBooks platforms, and is now suddenly coming into its own in North America with Amazon Fire downloads reaching 10x previous levels almost overnight.

FreeFlight Publishing, who has not yet disclosed the actual count, says ARCHANGEL owes its impressive climb to a universally intriguing plot, deft literary execution, and "a hero who inspires." Noted author and publisher Emily Hill of A.V.Harrison Publishing commented last year, "Vorhis more than holds his own. He has style...the presence, and skill, to stir in the most three dimensional characters any debut novelist has a right to claim." Author Robert DeCoteau describes the work as, "a class five hurricane...sheer storytelling genius...takes fiction from good to great."  Readers have even said the debut author has "rekindled" their interest in fiction.

Michael Vorhis says he spent eleven years in the creation of ARCHANGEL, and couldn't be more pleased. "Ultimately an author wants readers," he says, "especially those who crave works that have heart. I truly love my beautiful paperback edition--its cover art catches the reader's eye and the reading experience is fantastic with something tangible in hand--but eBook technology is also compelling. It keeps the costs down and the reading up. Great works priced the way we're doing it right now are such a bargain. So I love these steep up-surges in readers.  Everybody wins. They're asking for more."

Vorhis, who also publishes several free humorous short stories that serve as introductions to his literary versatility and linguistic skill, currently enjoys a nearly-5-star rating for ARCHANGEL when averaged across all sales channels. "Discerning readers want real characters who speak and act believably. And readers like to be tantalized with great suspense, the undercurrent of forbidden romance, beauty, heroic deeds...it all gets the pulse going, it all thrills the soul. ARCHANGEL broods before it simmers, and simmers before it boils. When it erupts in earnest, you're glad the tale took an intriguing pace."

In any edition, this collectible debut novel from a rising author is being chosen by many as their next must-read title. Acclaimed in 17 countries and right now at promotional prices, Archangel is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions (http://www.amazon.com/Archangel-Michael-Vorhis/dp/0983898502).  It is also available at Barnes & Noble in paperback (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/archangel-michael-vorhis/...) and Nook eBook (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/archangel-michael-vorhis/...&) editions.  Archangel is also available through Sony and Kobo bookstores online, and at Books Inc. retail stores throughout the San Francisco Bay Area (http://www.booksinc.net/book/9780983898504 ).
