Pro Beach Volleyball Star To Brand Corporate Tattoo For Life

Feb. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- How do you define passion, how do you define loyalty, how do you define determination? OVX's own Pro Beach Star, Brooke Niles is a good place to start. Kevin Kukk has announced today, Niles has decided to brand herself, for life with a permanent tattoo  and a brand partners logo. Niles decision is the first time in the history of pro sports that an athlete will brand a tattoo for life, while also doing so through a live social media auction. With her commitment to a brand forever, we would say that is passion, loyalty & determination at it's best.

'We hope to reveal our lifetime brand partner at our season opener on February 25th in Grand Rapids, Michigan,' said Kukk today. Niles kicks off the 2012 OVX Pro Beach season in Grand Rapids at the Mikasa Winter Beach Bash alongside her former partner & longtime friend, two-time Olympic Gold Medallist, Kerri Walsh.

'I do not currently have a single tattoo, so this was my pledge to a potential brand partner how serious I am with my commitment to training and dedication to reaching our goals together,' said Niles.

Niles currently sits 3rd in US qualification for the 2012 London Olympics & ranked 10th in the world with partner Lauren Fendrick after only their first full season together playing on the FIVB World Tour and the top US Pro tours. In 2011, Niles & Fendrick were one half of the two most successful teams on U.S. soil (other being ksm beach teammates, Pavlik & Kropp) winning the U.S. Open, Miami Pro Beach, AVP Championship & NORCECA Cayman Islands Open. Niles was a four-year letter winner at UC-Santa Barbara. A third-team All-American in 2002 while ranking third nationally in assists. As an outside hitter, she was named the Big West Freshman of the Year in 1999, and three times was selected to the all-conference team. Hanson graduated from UCSB ranked fifth in career digs, sixth in assists, and eighth in aces. Niles comes from very good genes, both her mother Tria & father Randy Niles played beach volleyball with Randy being drafted by the California Angels and playing in their system.
