By: Ina Fine Every Tuesday in February, Hooters Restaurants throughout the area will donate one-third of all guests’ chicken wing purchases to fund school tuition for underprivileged children in the community. “We started this program in 1992 as a way to help local children get the wings they need to fly," said Hooters Inc. Chief Operating Officer Sal Melilli. "A good education is the cornerstone of a young person's future," he said, "and if we at Hooters can help give kids here in our local community a leg up, help put them on the road to better lives, better futures, that's what it's all about."
