PITBULL, LaserNet and Pangolin Light Up the 2012 NBA All-Star Game

Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- ORLANDO, Fl - The excitement and energy is still lingering in Orlando, Fl and worldwide for that matter, following the 2012 NBA All-Star game. This star studded event brought together the world’s very best NBA superstars, as well as high profile performers such as Chris Brown, P-Diddy, Drake, Lil Wayne, and others. The halftime show at this year’s game was second to none, as famous recording artist PITBULL took the stage in dramatic featuring, singing a mix of his top songs, as well as a performing a collaboration with recording artist Chris Brown.

To really encapsulate the excitement surrounding the event, PITTBULL obtained the help of veteran laser light show company Laser Production Network (LaserNet) to produce synchronized laser effects to match the energy he was trying to create for the show. The team at LaserNet used their new, state of the art, 22W RGB ScannerPRO system along with their 10W RGB ScannerPRO’s to light up the 800,000 square feet Amway Arena, home to the local Orlando Magic basketball team. The laser effects were created by LaserNet programmer David Walker using Pangolin’s award winning LD2000 software run via a Pangolin TC2000 SMPTE timecode reader. This was the first time LaserNet used their 22W RGB ScannerPRO’s on a nationally televised event, and the results were spectacular.

Following the All-Star game, LaserNet President; Tom Harman was interviewed and quoted saying “This show was a real challenge with all of the video and other lighting on stage, but our systems clicked perfectly and punched thru to product the desired effect. I loved the gasp from the audience when the lasers kicked in!”
