The program includes selections from Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite in D minor (originally for unaccompanied cello) and the 3rd Sonata for Viola da GAmba and Harpsichord, as well as the Adagio for viola and piano by Zoltan Kodaly and the Suite for Viola and Small Orchestra by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Also included on this program is the set of 5 Old French Dances by Marin Marais. Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann is an internationally recognized violist, composer and conductor, and the artistic director of the "Bethel Arts" program.She is serves on the music and humanities faculties at California State University at Dominguez Hills, and is the Music Director and Conductor of the Southland Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Chang also maintains a busy performance and teaching career. Sunday May 20 at 4pm - Sylvia Lee Mann and friends perform original music of Sylvia Lee Mann. Bethel Arts is a project of Bethel UCC, a 501 (c) (3) organization.
