Region 2000 Technology Council Introduces TechEdge, Opens Registration & Award Nominations

March 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Virginia’s Region 2000 Technology Council has hosted a regional technology awards night for the past 10 years. This year, the Technology Council is forging a new direction - integrating its technology awards into a regional conference called 'TechEDGE'.  

TechEDGE 2012 will combine awards with themed panel presentations from regional and statewide business, education and technology leaders throughout the day, culminating in a massive business networking event in the evening.

This year's theme will be "Shaping the Future of Virginia's Region 2000". Participants will explore the intersection of leadership, innovation and how technology is shaping our community today and in the years to come. It will take place May 15 in downtown Lynchburg at the Holiday Inn from 1-8 p.m.  

Award nominations in the following categories will be given:  Innovator of the Year, STEM Educator of the Year, Technology Company of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year.  Technology Council award nominations are a great way to honor outstanding businesses, individuals and educators in our community that are focused on technology excellence.
