The Sun Sentinel - Title :Veteran rockers spread joy of sobriety http://www.sun- Musicians who are in recovery can spotlight their music through interviews, calendar of events, and a featured artist section in each issue. RIR magazine is a safe arena to share and receive feedback from the RIR readers as well as announce upcoming concerts, festivals and new music releases to music lovers who are in or support recovery. RIR Magazine is also in the process of building an easy to use online directory providing valuable information for all members of the sober musical community (musicians, songwriters, road crews, and producers). Anyone who is looking to meet and work with others on the same sober page will soon have access to a worldwide database of names and contacts to pull from. The projected target date for this launch is our June 2012 edition. Since February 2011, RIR has produced three incredible R’nR shows as part of its Rockers In Recovery Live Concert Series. Ricky Byrd and the Recovery Rockers combine cream of the crop musicians, some serious goodtime Rock ‘n Roll, and most importantly a message of Recovery that says “HAVING FUN” in sobriety is indeed possible!! The concerts have hosted over 10,000 combined guests in attendance! These shows have been streamed all over the world and the response has been overwhelming. RIR Live Video Streaming has been viewed by an average of 400 viewers per hour with over 300 hours of production time in 2011. RIR Concert Series has several shows scheduled for 2012. Concert and event attendees will receive the magazine, which will also be distributed to over 500 locations around the US quarterly. .
