Reaching for the Stars - Art Exhibtion 3

April 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Join “Exhibition 3 ”in a student extravaganza of Art and Music.  On April 27, 2012, members of the student’s arts program with The Stardust Arts, offered by the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diequito, Griset Branch, are celebrating with art and music.  Art will be on display for the first time at the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito. Griset Branch located at 1221 Encinitas Blvd. in Encinitas, CA,

With a drum circle playing, and students participating, we will be sharing in the excitement the arts brings to the facility, by promoting their recent art accomplishments. Joining the event are three instructors who have been working with the students of the past 7 months providing hands on instruction and guidance into the world of creativity and imagination.

Artists, Cheryl Ehlers, fine art painting with The Stardust Arts, displaying imagination, techniques and talent, is funded in part by the City of Encinitas and the Mizel Family Foundation Community Grant.  Cheryl was the 2009, Kenneth A. Picerne, grantee.

Lynn Adams, colorful tile work is amazing, and will be the mural for the buildings front, upon completion. Lynn is the current 2012 Kenneth A. Picerne grantee.  

Artisan, Alex Long, a regular and valued contributor to the club will provide, fanciful ceramics that will be available for sales in support of charity.  Alex, is also a past Kenneth A. Picerne, grantee and is presently a huge part of the Boys and Girls Clubs.

Students will be exposed to an interactive drum circle, “Drum Jam” presented by Christy Johnson and her professional troop that will entertain during the event with music and dance for all. For details on Drum Jams programs, contact Christy at 760-580-0016.
