The Center's mission is to nurture high school and university scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and to encourage collaboration between and among leaders in the global community. CEE sponsors the Research Science Institute (RSI), the USA Biology Olympiad (USABO), and the Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP). For more information about the Center and its programs, visit CEE’s Web site, www.cee.org # # # The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) has contributed to the scientific leadership of this country since it’s founding in 1983 by the late Admiral H.G. Rickover, the father of the nuclear navy and civilian uses of nuclear power, and Joann DiGennaro, CEE’s President. Together, they recognized that nurturing young scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science and technology was an essential investment in our national and global future. CEE recruits the most intellectually gifted and talented students and nurtures them through exceptionally designed programs to new academic heights to become tomorrow’s leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
