Combustible Dust Hazards Exposed in New Online Video

The IAQ Video Network produces educational videos about environmental contaminants, pathogens and workplace hazards.

April 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Combustible dusts are fine particles that present an explosion hazard when suspended in air under certain conditions. A dust explosion can be catastrophic and cause employee deaths, injuries, and the destruction of entire buildings. In many combustible dust accidents, employers and employees were unaware that a hazard even existed.

In response to theses threats, the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates just released an educational video that discusses combustible dust hazards. “We hope this online video gives people some insights into the dangers that combustible dusts can present,” reported Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network and the new public outreach video.  “Understanding what can cause a combustible dust explosion is one of the first steps in stopping these preventable disasters.”
