April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Tony Cantone, President of The Hope Group, today announced that The Leen Company was relocating to 5 Wallace Avenue, South Portland ME, on May 7, 2012. The company is a branch location of The Hope Group, which has a total of seven locations, six of which operate as Parker Stores. The new location features over 7,000 square feet of warehouse and office space for its 11 branch employees.

According to Randy Roy, VP of Operations for THG Corporation, parent company of The Hope Group, the move is scheduled to take place over the weekend of May 5 & 6, with a Grand Opening scheduled for May7, 2012. The move is in reaction to customer demand for a more central and accessible location in the region.

The Parker Store provides emergency replacement of ruptured hydraulic hose, while customers wait, as well as offering an on-hand inventory of over 3,000 industrial items including instrumentation, that support local businesses. The new location is about 10 minutes away from the current location, but its advantage comes in the close proximity to Rt. 95, Rt. 295, and Rt.1.

Open House and Trade Show
As part of the Grand Opening, a special Open House has been scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012, which will feature a mini-tradeshow, industrial seminars, a lunch buffet, and a few surprises. According to Donna Tibbetts, Senior Purchasing Administrator, the final details for the seminar are being made now, but among the topics being prepared are metric thread identification and safety works training to be conducted by Parker certified trainers.

As part of the Open House, a tradeshow exhibit will feature the latest Parker products from the Hydraulics, Automation, and Fluid Connectors Groups. On exhibit will be information about Parker cylinders, valves, hose assemblies, hose crimpers, pneumatic fittings, tube fittings, quick disconnects, seals, and other Parker products.

Technical Seminars Planned
As part of the Open House on May 24, 2012, two seminars have been scheduled that are open to those interested in Thread ID training and Safety Works Training. The Thread ID session will instruct participants in the various sealing methods common to hydraulics and will provide a working knowledge of the four-step process necessary to identify threads.

The Safety Works session will instruct participants in the five-step process for correct hose selection, the importance of proper hose assembly and routing guidelines to help prevent premature system failures. It will instruct on how to avoid injection injuries and the importance of timely treatment, should an injection occur.

Those who wish to register for either or both seminars may do so by logging on to http://www.TheHopeGroup.com/leen. They may also call Beth Fournier at 508-351-2708 or email at BFournier@TheHopeGroup.com.
