David Long, President of Vitech Corporation, to Present at SETE/APCOSE 2012 Next Week

Day-Long Tutorial to Address How to Leverage MBSE for Project Success

April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- BLACKSBURG, VA – April 24, 2012 – David Long, president of Vitech Corporation, and Paul Logan, president of the Systems Engineering Society of Australia, will present “Essential Model-Based Systems Engineering—Models, SysML, and More” at SETE/APCOSE 2012 in Brisbane, Australia on Monday, April 30.  This annual Australian systems engineering event is being held this year in concert with the INCOSE Asia Pacific Conference on Systems Engineering.  The focus of Long & Logan’s tutorial will be on the practical application of essential MBSE for project success, and will include both individual exercises and group discussion.  The presentation will look both at what MBSE is, and what it is not, as well as how to apply models (particularly those related to architecture description) and rich representations to enhance analysis and communication, and ultimately how best to leverage MBSE.
Being held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibit Centre (BCEC), the conference runs from Monday, April 30 to Wednesday, May 2, 2012.  Conference topics in general will share, promote and advance the best of systems engineering, especially widespread systems thinking for effective and efficient systems solutions.  Presentations and papers will address the increasingly complex systems engineering problems faced while under significant budget constraints, within defense, aerospace, infrastructure, transport, energy, telecommunications, climate and natural disaster response challenges.
