Dodds brings his witty and humorous writing to a somewhat dry subject and makes choosing a board-bag fun. In his fourth recommendation, Doods suggests that if the surfboard bag is padded like a push-up bra then you are on the right track to selecting the right bag. He continues,

"A cheap bag will skimp on padding and you are better off wrapping the board in a towel and a dipper. Don’t be a cheap bastard, when that zipper breaks and your board gets dinged from the thin padding you’ll be cursing at yourself and wish you would have listened to uncle D."

Dodds goes on to talk about the difference between the day boardbag and travel surfboard bag, helping surfers choose the right surfboard cover for their treasured water sleds. Along with the essential six questions he gives an overview of all the popular board covers in the market.
