Unanimous' "City Invasion" is released to a worldwide audience

April 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Unanimous was created in 2010 by Corey Johnson (aka Churchboy) and Jerry Johnson both from Decatur, Alabama.  Corey is a 24 year old singer, rapper, songwriter, organ and piano player.  He also serves as Minister of music for Solomon Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama where Jerry L. Johnson Sr. is pastor.  Jerry is 22 years old and a rapper, bass guitar player, songwriter and drummer.  He serves as lead drummer for Solomon Temple.  Together this duo has a combined eighteen years of experience in music.  Most of all they have a love for our Lord, Jesus Christ.
On August 19, 2011, Unanimous released their latest CD titled “City Invasion”.  Two singles are being headlined on this CD titled “Rockstar” and “Go Ham”.  

“Rockstar is about letting people know that it is ok to be a rock star but you can’t be a star without the rock (Jesus Christ).  This song has a great hip-hop rhythm to it.  The beat is hot and it gets the attention of fans from every walk of life.  Between the beat and the message, you can’t go wrong.

“ “Go Ham” expresses how people try to shut us up because they don’t want to hear message of Jesus Christ, but we go ham anyways, in a positive way”, states Unanimous.  This song is another single that gets your attention.  The message is clear as day, add in that beat and the overall hot hip hop sound and you have another winner.

The message to audiences is simple – it’s ok to be a Christian and living a Christian life is not boring.

“We want people to know that we’re not perfect.  We make mistakes, but even through our imperfections, a man named Jesus died for us who was sinless and perfect.   Even though we didn’t deserve the opportunity, he gave us a second chance through his resurrection.  We don’t just do music just to sound good or for the money and fame, but we do this so that people might have that second opportunity of living a better life knowing that when they die they are going to heaven . We do this to save souls. Our ultimate goal is to spread the message of Jesus Christ and the hope He brings.  Our desire is to encourage families and individuals by sending a message of faith, hope, love and peach throughout the community by working together with the men and women that make up our community.”
