Free Advertising With Online Business Directory

As a business owner and as a consumer I was frustrated with online yellow pages sites.  When paying for a listing I was not receiving the business I expected and although I had a contract if a business was willing to pay more my ad would be bumped down the page.  If I wanted to make any changes to my ad I would either not have that option or I would have to submit my information and wait for the changes to take place.  
When searching for businesses the search results were disappointing - often the first results listed were for businesses that were not even in my area just because they had paid for to be listed towards the top.
