While Dr. Ned Paniagua, DMD of Ontario Village Dental in California can regularly be found at his family practice, you won’t always find him there.  His other care locations have included Montclair Senior Center, the Children’s Dental Clinic of Assistance League of Upland, and local elementary classrooms throughout the Ontario, CA area.  These are places where he performs some of his most important work as a dentist.

Dr. Paniagua, who is known as Dr. Ned to many of his patients, regularly volunteers his time and periodontal care skills to special patients and the California locals who need it most.  Through his volunteer work at Montclair Senior Center, residents receive screenings for many periodontal issues that impact the health of many elderly men and women.  The free screenings help to assess any need for dental care that could easily go overlooked and eventually cause serious health problems. Basic dental care procedures like oral cancer screenings, diagnosis of periodontal disease, and the proper fitting of dentures can have a considerable effect on quality of life for Montclair's seniors.

Comprehensive periodontal care is also critical for the youngest member of the community.  The monthly volunteer dental procedures completed by Dr. Ned Paniagua at the Children’s Dental Clinic of Assistance League of Upland are just a portion of his devotion to helping kids improve their smiles. Much of good dental hygiene for kids starts with simple and fun education on how to clean and properly care for their growing smiles.  During his volunteer visits to local schools, Dr. Paniagua stresses the importance of oral hygiene for children and instills the good habits young students should be practicing - including proper daily brushing, flossing, quality nutrition, and avoiding sugary snacks.  The early dental hygiene education not only sets kids on the proper path to good smile care, it helps dispel dental fears and lets them come to know caring dentists, like Dr. Ned, as a friend.
