May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Sally, a five-year old beagle has come a long way. After being adopted by her owner Jared Shechtman she went from shaking under the bed each night to confidently accompanying her owner to work at  Extrovertic, a full-service health care communications agency in New York City., Now the self-assured beagle can add professional model to her list of accomplishments.

Pet Sitters International (PSI) has selected Sally as the official poster dog for the 14th annual Take Your Dog To Work Day® (TYDTWDay®) on Friday, June 22.

Created by PSI in 1999, TYDTWDay encourages businesses to experience the joy of pets in the workplace for just one day to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to promote the need for pet adoption.

“Sally was extremely traumatized when we first adopted her in 2010 from Gateway Regional Rescue in New Jersey,” Shechtman said. “Now, we are very proud to say she is happy and sociable—so much so that she helped inspire Extrovertic to participate in Take Your Dog To Work Day last year.”

As the winner of the 2012 TYDTWDay Poster Dog contest, Sally is featured on the 2012 downloadable TYDTWDay posters. Shechtman and Sally also receive a $100 gift certificate to PSIStoreOnline.com.

Pet owners and businesses interested in learning more about TYDTWDay are encouraged to visit http://www.takeyourdog.com to download the free 2012 Action Pack. To learn more about event creator PSI, visit http://www.petsit.com.
