Karen Gravano is the daughter of Salvatore "Sammy the Bull" Gravano, a former underboss of the Gambino crime family, and federal informant.  Karen was also in a seven year relationship with Drita D'Avanzo's ex-husband, Lee. Drita married Lee one year after his breakup with Karen.

While residing out west along with her informant father, Sammy "The Bull" Gravano during 2000, she was arrested and charged with dealing narcotics (ecstasy) along with her father and other family members.

In 2011, Karen Gravano became a best-selling author of the book titled Mob Daughter ' On March 2, 2012 "Mob Daughter" became number 18 on the New York Times bestseller list of hardcover nonfiction.
