By: M3 Records OHIO M3 Known as Millennium Music Mission Records has shifted much of its attention to academic empowerment. “The obvious ailment infecting our Nation today is our youths apathy regarding school," says Nujam CEO of M3 Records Ohio. The music makers at Millennium Music Mission Records strives to accentuate positive awareness and action. M3 Records has chosen to support other groups' involvement like the MuzArt World Foundation, Conscious Music Entertainment (CME), the Chairs Scholars Program and the James Brown Music Pupils program to enlighten the minds of tomorrows leaders and help them prepare for the real world and limitless opportunity. According to Nujam, "M3 is always assessing its social responsibility respecting the projects we decide to do and invest in.” The impact that music can have on the minds of youthful music lovers is a scientific fact in 2012, M3 embarked on collaborations with artists & world educators who strive daily to impress upon students how important it is to maximize the opportunities and resources available in schools. "Working in the Akron Public School System in Ohio has afforded me a birds eye view of the nonchalant attitude in so many minds of students respecting the importance of school. There is clearly a lazy spirit on the part of too many students, it is extremely disheartening," Why is this issue so important? According to the Center for Labor Market Studies (CLMS) 2009 Dropout Report, in 2007 16% of America or 6.2 million people between 16 and 24 years of age were dropouts. Every day over 7000 kids drop out of school adding up to 1.2 million dropouts a year in United states alone, adding to an already troubled generation that will wreak havoc on society. In 2008 more than half, 54% of the nations dropouts 16 to 24 years of age were jobless on an average month. Black dropouts have the highest jobless rate at 69%. In contrast only 13% of young adults with a college degree were jobless on average in the same time period. Men, Blacks and Hispanics lead these depressing numbers and therefore will lead in the economic losses over their lifetimes. Dropouts will earn much less than graduates daily and over their lifetime they will struggle with poverty. 70 percent of those in state and federal prisons are dropouts. Male dropouts of all races were 47% likely to be incarcerated than their peers of similar age graduated from a four year college or university . Young Black men had a 22% jailing rate daily, over 1 out of 5. "The underachievers will fair not much better because they will not be able to compete for the good, higher paying careers,” stated Nujam. “They do not realize that they are cheating themselves and their future offspring. This social condition will inevitably be a heavy burden on the nations government assistance to say the least.” "Kids need direction, a new mindset,” stated Nujam. “The teachers need help in persuading the kids to put their best foot forward. We sponsored these songs to do our part as allies for the cause, to help the teachers help the kids. We are hopeful that these songs will help shape a new attitude and commitment in our students' classroom endeavors. We hope to persuade kids to stay in school because its a winning situation for them. If we reach one child we will succeed. if we are able to assist in redirecting success through our partnership with the many caring individuals and groups committed to empowering our youth then we as a nation will be triumphant. We want them to excel in school. There is valuable and life changing education to be attained in our schools. We encourage students to reach for the stars and never settle for anything less. They can get it. They are not alone: We're on your team to help you achieve your dream." End
