June 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Londis plc recently announced the development of a chilled central distribution facility & nationwide distribution network to support its retailers, so who is behind the new development?

Cold-Move Limited headquartered in Oranmore Co.Galway are said to have developed the new facility in Swords Co.Dublin to support the roll-out of Londis plc's chilled supply chain.

Jason Mallon the MD of Cold-Move denied the new facility was directly assigned to Londis but indicated the facility is a share-user development which is being integrated into its storage network for use by its wider client base.

The facility will be marketed as a chilled solution centre offering chilled food manufacturers & retailers access to a nationwide network of storage locations & ancillary distribution solutions.

Mallon said " the new facility is designed to manage chilled storage & picking operations on behalf of several existing & prospective clients. The location being minutes from the M1 & Dublin Port Tunnel is very accessable & an ideal location from where to improve our nationwide distribution network"
