McIntosh’s 11,000 Watt Reference Home Theater System A Royal Hit

June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The McIntosh Reference Home Theater Systems have been manufactured by expert engineers for lasting quality and design.  It consists of seven-speaker array of  XRT2K from  front left and right tower speakers that sport 40 tweeters, 64 mid ranges and six woofers. The XCS2K center channel and XRT1K surround speakers are also part of this system.  Each of the speakers has its own McIntosh amplifier, with the fronts of 2,000 watts of power and the four surrounds, which are positioned in side and back, with the use of 1,200 watts each.

Also speakers are being concealed behind the fabric walls on either side of screen, the center below, and the surrounds on the sides and in the back on either side of the entrance. The speakers contain 23 woofers, and are also backed by two Thiel SS2 subwoofers.

In the back are equipment racks for an impressive McIntosh MX150 home theater processor, McIntosh Blu-ray player, a turntable that uses solid-state or vacuum tube-style amplifiers and also some of the home theater amplifiers.

Professional grade XLR cables have been used to avoid signal interference from the McIntosh amplifiers to the McIntosh MX150 surround-sound processor.  

The entire home theater systems (http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/) was constructed in First Impressions’ Florida facility before being shipped to Texas and fitted, by the use of an exterior lift so that hundreds of panels make up the theater that did not have to be carried through the house. Also the audio/video system was gathered at ISI’s nearby facility and many of its connections and settings are preconfigured.
Once installed in the home’s real theater, ISI tweaked the sound via microphones and McIntosh’s software creates sweet-spot presets depending on whether person is sitting in the front or back rows, and to the owner’s preferences.
