A recent report by audience measurement firm comScore suggested 52.6% of UK consumers had used a smartphone, such as the Apple iPhone, BlackBerry phones, Windows Phone or one of the many Android smartphones. With this explosion in the use of Smart Phones, technology such as QRCode scanning that was once out of reach most users has become more accessible. By scanning the QR code printed onto stickers which are attached to appliances serviced or installed by Serviceteam, customers can find out instantly the history of that appliance. The labels can be placed on any product that requires servicing, such as gas boilers and consumer units.

The data provided back to the consumer shows the manufacturer, model, serial number, service frequency and service history, and informs them if a service is overdue. The product will be particularly useful to Landlords and Commercial property owners allowing them to keep in line with the various legislations imposed on them.
