Whilst lunch! devotees will be hoping its winning streak continues for 2012, the show’s marketing manager Grace Allwright is delighted that its highly-targeted marketing has also been recognised by the AEO, having received its first ever nomination for Marketing Campaign of the Year. “The team at Diversified is extremely dedicated to organising outstanding events. From design, marketing, PR and editorial, to sales, finance and operations – we do everything in-house, so for two of our events to be shortlisted for best trade show and for lunch! also to be in the running for best marketing campaign really is quite special and an enormous achievement for us all!” says Allwright. Since its launch in 2008, lunch! has enjoyed growing industry prominence and support. 2011 was a momentous year for the event, culminating in a 41% increase in total attendance (4310 in 2011 compared to 3115 in 2010), 87% more international visitors, plus a 42% rise in exhibitor numbers; whilst 2012 has already heralded the announcement of a sold out 5th anniversary show months before doors open on 20-21 September. Record breaking figures aside, lunch!’s award submission to the AEO was also backed by glowing testimonials from satisfied exhibitors like Amanda Grove, marketing manager at Magrini (sponsors of lunch!’s popular British Smoothie Championships and Working lunch! Theatre): “The quality of the marketing for lunch! is above and beyond any trade show I’ve ever experienced. No wonder we meet so many quality buyers and zero time wasters on our stand!” comments Grove.
