Follow on Google News | Local Skatepark Hosts Emerica “Wild In The Streets” After PartyModern Skate Park in Royal Oak, Mich. will host the “Wild in the Streets 2012” Benefit Show on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. This after party event costs $10, and all proceeds benefit Detroit’s RideIt Sculpture Park.

Join Team Emerica and thousands of skateboarders from all over the world as they celebrate National Go Skateboarding Day and the production of Detroit’s revitalization project, RideIt Skulpture Park. Proceeds from “Wild in the Streets” will also benefit Detroit’s RideIt Sculpture Park. Detroit’s RideIt Sculpture Park is a neighborhood revitalization project that will take four vacant properties in the city as well as a vacant home, and turn them into an indoor and outdoor skatepark for all to enjoy. Detroit’s RideIt Sculpture Park is sponsored by Emerica and non-profit organization, Power House Productions. The RideIt Sculpture Park will be a place for people to play, create, exercise and more! Modern Skate & Surf will not only be hosting the benefit show, but is also offering free skateboarding all day on June 21. This 80,000 sq. foot skatepark was rated the No.1 best skatepark by Best of Real Detroit in 2012. Modern Skate & Surf offers protective gear rentals, private and walk-in lessons, and membership packages.
