Former TNA TV Champ "Gunner"Announced For WrestleCade In Winston Salem

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Uncle Frank's Championship Wrestling has announced that TNA Wrestling Star Gunner has been signed to compete in the main event at WresleCade 2012. Tracy Myers, the brainchild behind WrestleCade and UFCW, shared the news via a press conference  this afternoon.

"When we started asking wrestling fans who they wanted to see at WrestleCade, folks kept mentioning Gunner’s name. The entire WrestleCade Booking Team wanted to give the fans what they wanted and that’s why Gunner is one of the first people they called. It’s exciting that Gunner has agreed to compete in November and we hope the fans are as pumped about him coming to Winston Salem as we are," said Myers.

Also on the card that night is Matt Hardy/Hurricane Helms 30-minute iron man match. "Since this is the first WrestleCade, we wanted this event to be a very special match. That's why they stepped up and agreed to something better than I could have ever imagined."

Another exciting addition to WrestleCade is the Legends Of Starrcade match featuring one-half of The Rock n Roll Express, Ricky Morton with "The Perfect 10" Baby Doll in his corner versus "The Russian Bear" Ivan Kollof in a Russian Chain match. Other matches featuring legends and multiple past champions from the WWE, WCW, TNA, ROH, ECW and NWA will be announced over the next few weeks.

WrestleCade 2012 is a “family friendly event” and it is also a fundraiser for Christmas Toy Drive. Christmas Toy Drive partners with The Salvation Army to provide toys to less fortunate boys and girls during the Christmas season. In 2011, over 2,000 toys were collected and the goal for 2012 is to double, triple or quadruple this number. The announcement that WrestleCade is coming to Winston Salem also represents a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved and be seen by 2,000+ people who are sure to be travelling to downtown Winston Salem from all around the country and especially the Southeast. Tickets for WrestleCade 2012 go on sale July 9th, 2012 with prices starting at just $10.00 each for general admission. Limited front row VIP Tables and corporate sponsorships are also available. WrestleCade 2012 will be held at the Benton Convention Center in Winston Salem, NC on Sunday November 25th, 2012. Doors will open at 2pm with a 3pm bell time.
