July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- TEXAS – In a brief interview, Vanessa Chozen Marie, founder of Breaking the Labels speaks out on her own experiences and how they have molded her. She tells how teen pregnancy affected her in areas and education and says she never wanted it to be easy for her.

Chozen Marie also explains why she supports the Rise of the South project that has been picking up momentum in this degraded age of mainstream media and constant negative publicity in low-income and minority communities. She also vows to share more information and insight over the months as the Rise of the South movement continues to build.

The new website for  "Rise of the South" will launch in July, featuring cross-collaborations and promotions from artists, businesses, labels, radio stations and media outlets who are like-minded about putting more positive forms of influence out in minority and low-income communities.

ABOUT VANESSA CHOZEN MARIE
Vanessa Chozen Marie, also known by title as Label Me Not, is a Music Industry Consultant. Highly proficient in Finance, Education, Business Operation Analysis… possessing an advanced level Technical background. For many companies, she is the person who implements processes, develops administrative strategies and trains on the relevancy of standard operating procedures (within any office environment).

Interview with Vanessa Chozen Marie

Chozen started in the music industry at Suave House Records in 1995 and experienced a successful career and development strategy for music artists. She has worked with Eightball and MJG, Tela, Jazzy Pha, T-Mix, CrimeBoss, Mr. Mike, At-Large, Puffy, Easy-E, Scarface, Bushwick, Lil KeKe, Fat Pat, the Wreckshop Records staff and more. She helped to establish productive, collaborative relationships with Suave House and Bad Boy Records, as well as Ruthless Records. Chozen Marie saw Suave House through to the success of their signing with Universal Records and moved into the Education Industry after their demise.

As a writer and poet she has been published in the Source Magazine, XXL and Billboard Magazine. Her final poetic stanza written while at Suave House appears on the cover of MJG’s solo album, “No More Glory.” Her diverse background has equipped her with an array of skills from administrative to design to technical.

Having a passion for this industry and youth, she incorporates much of her work in the entertainment industry with the youth involved in her non-profit youth organization, Saving Our Children Foundation. Her hope is to tear down walls and break down the labels in society that divide us.
