Beverly Hills Compounding Pharmacist Hootan Melamed Named to Roseman University Board of Trustees

July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Beverly Hills, CA – Compounding pharmacist and entrepreneur Dr. Hootan Melamed, PharmD, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Roseman University of Health Sciences in Henderson, Nevada.  Melamed said in a recent statement, “I am honored to be asked to serve the university community at Roseman and my goal is to help students achieve their educational goals as well as inspire them to reach out into their communities to help others who are less fortunate. ”  

Roseman University of Health Sciences was founded in 1999 by Dr. Harry Rosenberg on the premise that pharmacy education should and could be better, more effective, and capable of producing highly competent graduates.  “Roseman quickly became one of the most innovative, creative, and cost-effective pharmacy schools in the nation, and I am honored to be associated with them,” continued Melamed. Melamed also holds an appointment on the Board of Trustees in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Southern Nevada.

Dr. Melamed holds two doctorates in Pharmacy and is the principal and founder New Age Pharmaceuticals, a neighborhood compounding pharmacy that specializes in creating custom-compounded pain relief products to benefit those suffering from work-related injuries.  In addition, Melamed holds several trademarks and patents, including Happy Tush™ Diaper rash cream and a provisional patent for Methods for Alleviating Climacteric Symptoms.
