The iPhone 4S Has An Intuitive Phone App

July 20, 2012 - PRLog -- The Apple iPhone 4S is still one of the top selling smartphone models despite increasingly impressive competition from a number of other manufacturers.  This handset boasts an impressive spec list, making it one of the most versatile smartphones on the market.  Although smartphones such as this are able to perform an incredible array of different tasks, at the end of the day is still a mobile phone, and making phone calls is still one of the most commonly used tasks on devices such as this.

The iPhone 4S runs on iOS which is Apple's smartphone and tablet optimised platform.  This is renowned for its intuitive and user friendly interface, and this extends to the phone application. When you open the phone app, you will notice that everything is clearly laid out and easy to find.  At the bottom of the screen there are five shortcuts which take you to different menus within the phone app.  These include a list of favourites, which displays your most commonly dialled numbers.  There is also a shortcut to your entire contacts list, which allows you to scroll through all of your contacts which are displayed in alphabetical order.  When you select a contact, you will then be presented with all of the contact information, including all stored phone numbers, email addresses and shortcuts to social networking profiles on sites like Facebook and Twitter, as well as shortcuts to websites or blogs should they have one.  There is also a shortcut which displays the recent call history, so you can get an overview of the last calls that were made and received, and in this interface you can instantly call anyone displayed on this list.  The fourth shortcut is the keypad, which of course allows you to manually dial phone numbers.  This is clearly laid out and easy to use with large numbers.  The final shortcut at the bottom of the phone interface takes you to your voicemails, where you can listen to saved voicemail messages and listen to new ones which have been left when you have missed calls or your phone has been turned off.

While the phone interface of the iPhone 4S is intuitive and easy to use, and a great example of how user friendly the iOS platform is, the handset of course boasts many other impressive features.  It has a powerful dual-core processor, and high definition retina display, and of course access to the AppStore where users can browse over 500,000 apps which can be directly downloaded to the handset.  Features like these contribute to making the iPhone 4S one of the most versatile and powerful smartphones out there.
