iBex Flytouch 9 Tablet PC 10.1" IPS Android 4.0.4 1.6Ghz Review

July 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Following the release of the 10.1" capacitive screen Flytouch 8, iBex has just now released the 1080x800 10-inch 10-point multi-touch IPS screen Flytouch 9. IPS screens are the same screen that the iPad 2 uses. Originally manufactured by Hitachi, and now by LG, IPS screens have 160 degree viewing angles and are virtually anti-glare. Regular capacitive screens are very responsive, but when under the sun, the screen can be hard to view.  IPS screens are also more responsive.

The Flytouch 9 is ultra thin. I have used my calipers to measure but its sturdy aluminum housing seems thinner than the iPad 2.  The Flytouch9 has a 7200mah battery which means that it should it has a long 6-8 battery life. With exception to the Flytouch 3, previous Flytouch models had smaller 4200mah batteries.

The Dual Core 1.5Ghz RK3066 Amlogic A9 CPU is recognizably alot faster than the single core Cortex A8 that the Flytouch 8 had.  This tablet runs the latest version of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Android 4.0.4. It has Play Store pre-installed.
