While most cookbooks appeal to their reader’s sense of taste, smell and sight, Recipe Records adds the sense of sound with each recipe.

Whole Lotta Bacon Goin’ On?

Recipe Records cookbook was born out of Maggie McHugh and Lanea Stagg’s love of food & music.  They are passionate about rock ‘n’ roll, but also pay tribute to many genres of music in their new song inspired collection of recipes and stories.

Recipe Records contains over 170 rockin' recipes that pay homage to a plethora of songs and musicians, including:  Rolling Scones, Girls Just Wanna Have Rum, Blue Suede Stew and Another One Bites the Crust.  Maggies and Lanea developed their great collection of recipes from family archives, friends and individual creations.  But, Recipe Records is no ordinary cookbook.  It's full of music knowledge, entertaining stories, trivia, anecdotes, recommendations and their signature ‘Suggested Song List’.

Maggie McHugh lost her life after a short illness in October 2011.  Now Lanea Stagg is working solo, but with inspiration from her best friend Maggie, on her next cookbook – Recipe Records 60’s Edition.  She hopes to have released sometime in the late Fall of 2012.
