IS NOW HIRING THE UNDEAD!

Zombies; Ghouls; and Professionals who are handy with a Hammer, Paint Brush or Make-Up Need Apply

DENVER, CO (August 14, 2012) – The Apocalypse isn’t here yet but Denver needs a few good zombies, ghouls and goblins.  And those who can make regular folks look incredibly scary, or build a wicked haunted house, or mix paint to look just like, um, blood.  Elitch Gardens Theme Park, located in the heart of downtown Denver, is dying to hire new blood for the upcoming Halloween season.  Carpenters, painters, special effect make-up artists, actors and anyone with a good set of lungs is invited to apply for more than 75 jobs.  The deadline to apply is September 28.

“The summer may be drawing to a close but Elitch Gardens Theme Park keeps the fun going throughout the fall with Fright Fest, Denver’s largest Halloween event,” said Elitch Gardens Director of Marketing, Tracy Durham. “Activities and events are silly and spooky during the day, but to transform the park into a haunted haven at night, we need to cast more than 75 actors to entertain our guests and inhabit our haunted houses.  There are also employment opportunities for skilled carpenters, painters and make-up artists.”

Interested applicants for the following positions should send their resume and contact information to EG-HR@elitchgardens.com.  The deadline to apply is September 28, 2012.

Carpenters and painters to build and paint sets; Make-up artists skilled in airbrush and special effect artistry; Actors to dress-up in costume as street performers and haunted house actors.

Elitch Gardens’ Fright Fest will be open to the public every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday from Oct. 5-28.  In addition to all the ghastly fun, guests can take one last spin on their favorite thrill rides!  Main gate admission is $43.99 for guests over 48” or over; $29.99 for guests under 48” or over 61 years of age. Kids under three are free.  Save time and money – purchase tickets online at elitchgardens.com.  Some haunted attractions will have an additional fee.  Making you scream is priceless!
