By: OC Screenwriters STORY OF WEST MEMPHIS THREE STARS REESE WITHERSPOON AND COLIN FIRTH Clark Peterson, producer of the upcoming film, “Devil’s Knot,” starring Academy Award winners Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth, and which is based on the true story of the West Memphis Three murders and their aftermath, will be speaking for the Orange County ScreenwritersAssociation( “Devil’s Knot”, their latest project, is based on the internationally known story of the savage and brutal murders of three young children and the trial that followed where three teenagers were charged with having committed the murders as part of a Satanic ritual, and the issue has drawn the interest of media from around the world, as many feel there is evidence that points to another suspect. Together, Peterson and Rukeyser have produced more than 28 features and 80 television episodes, and have been responsible for some amazing films, including “Monster,” “This is a very special event,” said MarkSevi, president of OCSWA, “We don’t get people with such great work speaking in Orange County, and anyone who loves film, wants to work in the business, from writing to directing to acting should hear these two and ask questions – they have a lot to share with us.” “Clark is a producer that develops stories and screenplays that are important, and that is why so many actors, directors, and writers love to work with him,” said Sevi, “and Stacy works in and knows so many aspects of the film’s development that it is easy to work with both of them.”Sevi isalso a screenwriter with many credits to his name.
