Oct. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The annual Fall Harvest Festival http://www.greatcountryfarms.com/index.php/annual-events/fall-harvest-festival.html runs through Glow Night, a spectacular display of over 3,000 lighted jack-o-lanterns carved by local school children the evenings of Oct 26 & 27. The celebration infuses harvest traditions with a new twist such as Oinkintucky Derby Pig-identical pig races and P-Rex, the giant pumpkin munchin’ dinosaur, and the chance to meet the ever so beautiful Pumpkin Princess. Everyone is sure to pick their own special pumpkins and enjoy hay rides and fresh farm produce and decorations. All ages can get lost in this year’s honeycombed Bee Amaized corn maze with a size and scale that works for younger children too. The Farm will be hosting a variety of entertainers, foods featuring locally produced ingredients and new variations ciders, and seasonal treats.

The Farm is hosting a number of programs for school groups, moms groups and more. Local schools help to carve the pumpkins for the fantastic Pumpkin Glow Nights. Businesses, scouts and sports teams can all participate and individual families can also create their own “pumpkin squad”.  Email Great Country Farms if your group would like to join the fun and have a carving day or party. The whole gang will enjoy petting and feeding the friendly animals, browsing the country store, or roaming the five acre farm style playground featuring a 23’ giant jumping pillow, double barrel 60’ slides, a pedal cart track, and much more.  Save those pumpkins for Pumpkin Chunkin’ after Halloween.

Weekdays: $8 per child $10 per adult;
Weekends: $10 per child $12 per adult.
