Follow on Google News | Pa Charity Publishes Its First Inspirational Picture Book, Drawings And Writings By Local ChildrenThe Giving Tree, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization plans to showcase this book at its fall event in Montgomeryville, PA on November 10, 2012, aided by donation of 25 books from Infinity Publishing.
The Giving Tree is dedicated to teaching our children the spirit of giving through charitable projects and hands-on helping. The founder of the charity, Bridget Leary states, “Our children can learn wonderful lessons as they offer their time and energy to help others.” Expressions of Charity began with a conversation around the dinner table. During a discussion about some of the charity’s activities that were planned, Leary asked her children a question, “What does charity mean to you?” She got very interesting answers to this simple question. “Children have very deep thoughts and such an honest view of the world. I realized that if many children of varying ages were asked this question it would provide some beautiful insight into the lessons that we, as parents, work to instill,” states Leary. This inspirational book will make its debut on November 10, 2012 at the Montgomery Mall in Montgomeryville, PA. The charity’s Working Hands project is from 10 am to 2 pm on the lower level of the mall in front of Sears. This is the third year of this project and the coordinators and volunteers anticipate another fantastic turnout. Each sale of the Expressions of Charity book will benefit the continuous educational programs of the Giving Tree organization. “Our hope is that the word of the amazing teaching opportunities will spread and the branches of our tree will continue to grow as new families join in our charitable efforts,” said Leary.
